2. What are the benefits of dental implants?
They make your smile look natural and attractive. Implants feel like natural teeth, and they don't wobble when chewing. There is no need to remove them every night before you go to bed, nor do they need to be glued on.

3. How do dental implants work?
The gum is opened where the implant will be placed and a hole is drilled into the jawbone and a threaded titanium insert is placed in the hole. After several months of healing time, the mouth is ready for it's new tooth. The new, artificial tooth is manufactured specifically to your mouth so it will fit comfortably with the teeth around it, and it will match the shape, size and color of the natural teeth around it. It is attached to the bone via the threaded insert and the patient is ready to enjoy his new smile.

4. How long does this procedure take?
It can take anywhere from 4 to 8 months, or longer depending on the specific scenario. Although this procedure takes quite some time, we ensure that you will at no time be without teeth by providing you with temporary replacement for the interim between removing the original tooth and inserting the new artificial tooth.

6. How frequently do implants need to be inspected?
It is very important to maintain your dental implants to ensure their longevity. Every three to four months, a dental hygienist trained to work with dental implants should inspect and thoroughly clean the implants. Additionally, daily flossing and brushing will help to keep them healthy.
